This weekend has been crazy! Getting my daughter ready for First Grade, and getting myself ready for another year at school, this time in a new grade level. Shopping, pinning, tweeting, face booking, saving, printing, cutting, gluing, creating, and more.
I think I am 95% ready. A few more copies to make for staff handouts regarding Filling Buckets, and I will be 100% done. Whew.
Staff appreciation gifts for 5th grade staff are complete. Swedish fish inside favor bags that look like fish bowls with a card inside that reads SO GLAD WE'RE IN THE SAME SCHOOL and my website QR code on the back with my name and extension. They are actually cute!

I have decided to spoil my staff every quarter with little treats. Next up will be owl cupcakes, real ones that can be eaten! This will promote my theme of owls. A small attempt at branding myself. At least it will be yummy!
When school actually gets started, I will give my teachers a brochure called GIFT...Guidance Information For Teachers. I saw that on someone's blog and ran with it. Great idea! I am a new counselor to the 5th grade staff, so I took the time to create this little introduction to what I do as school counselor, what they can expect from me, a little bit about me, and my contact information.
Along with the GIFT brochure, I will give teachers a full page that actually describes my counseling services/program in a bit more detail as well as information about the Bucket Filling Program I love to do with classes, parents, and staff.
That's all for tonight! I have a little girl who has her own back to school jitters whom I need to care for.
