In accordance with the ASCA National Model, Common Core Curriculum, the PA Dept. of Ed, and the PA System of Higher Education, and other future focused organizations, I believe that education ought to include teaching students about the skills necessary for success after high school. College and Career Readiness skills in the 21st Century are absolutely necessary for our students to lead productive and fulfilling lives in their adult years. I believe it is the responsibility of parents and educators to work together from grades K-12 to teach and foster the further development of 21st Century skills through personal/social, academic, and career development activities and lessons.
