Below is a video called the Kindness Boomerang. Watch how one act of kindness travels and multiplies, connecting strangers in a day. Imagine how many buckets could be filled if everyone demonstrated at least one act of kindness per day.
I love Filling Buckets! What a positive activity to do, and what a wonderful way to help students connect with each other, and to feel part of something special. In 2012, I had the distinct honor of meeting Carol McCloud, the author of Have You Filled a Bucket Today? and got to spend a week with her at the PSCA conference. What a special lady with such positive energy that never quits! She is an inspiration to many, and I would like to share her website and resources with you here:
As a school counselor at Skyview, I strive to instill the Bucket Filling concept through classroom lessons, activities, and discussions. Bucket Filling goes hand in hand with Character Counts, to support a Safe and School Environment for All.
Here is where I will highlight Bucket Filling Activities that I host in 5th grade this year. You can also follow along with my Blog and see what we're up to!
